CaliforniaMudHoles.com was
founded by Jim & Laurie Robinson in 2002 and they live in
Huntington Beach, California.
Jim is an architect and Laurie is
the keeper of Jim and cats named Arnold, Neut, and Spike.

Jim and Laurie enjoy travel, both
of the mudhole and the international varieties. They
have travelled to Barbados, St. Maartin, Bermuda, Germany,
Italy, Greece, Australia, Tahiti, Rarotonga, and
Fiji.
In their travels, they often
encounter Europeans, somehow drawn to this same ambiance --
small, quiet properties with lots of uncommon
personality. They have been in search of
MudHoles since 1981.
Sadly, Laurie
died in 2003 at the young age of only 46. She was in
many ways the inspiration of these explorations -- and always
the supporter. Not many mudholes have been added since;
and revisiting old ones offer far less
enjoyment.
