Sally T. writes: "What is
considered a MudHole?"
Our
Answer: Thank you, Sally, for asking. In
addition to the definition above:
".....An odd & out-of-the-way (and
probably old and a little run-down) destination which
offers food and lodging. This destination acts as
a base for 2-3 days' of amusement -- either on-property
or in the sur-rounding area. The property and
surrounding area offer non-franchised and simple
pleasures which form the basis for fond memories when
recalled years from now. The stock of such places
in most parts of the U.S. is diminishing at a fast pace
so catch them while you can."
Sally T. responds: "Yes, my
kinda
place.....thanks!" |
IN A LATER PHASE OF THE
WEBITE DEPLOYMENT:
.....We will add the
following locations:
- Cloudland
Canyon
- Guerneville
- Pacific
Grove
*The term was coined by a
co-worker as Jacumba, California was described to him
(thanks, Tom). Home of
the California State University Desert Research Station; west
of Baker on I-15 and also west of the turn-off to
Kelso.
